Supports for children with disabilities in the free pre-school year vary widely because of a lack of clear Government policy, according to Children’s Ombudsman Emily Logan.

CHILDREN will lose out if the Government insists on its free year of pre-school education being based on a weekly payment, service providers have warned.

The Ombudsman for Children has launched an investigation to determine if child protection guidelines are being properly implemented.
