Octagon Films, the Wicklow-based production company behind dramas like Love/Hate and The Borgias, has repaid all of the start-up money advanced to it by a German investor 15 years ago.

The multi-award-winning production company behind the Love/ Hate phenomenon, Octagon Films was sitting on accumulated profits of €242,365 at the end of last year.

Employee numbers at one of Ireland’s best-known TV and movie production companies, Octagon Films, have increased to 850 as a result of new series of The Borgias and Vikings currently in production.
