IT is criminal that neither ADM nor the EPA notified the people of Monkstown Bay or Monkstown Bay Sailing Club of the 252-tonne spillage of caustic soda into the bay on weekend of July 2/3, when the club was commencing its annual four-week sailing course on the Monday (July 4).

WHO does the EPA actually protect? Is it the citizens of our state, including the 30,000 taxpayers in the Cork Harbour area?
