Roy Moore is going to court to try to stop Alabama from certifying Democrat Doug Jones as the winner of the US Senate race.

Convicted sniper John Allen Muhammad closed his defence for six sniper shootings in the US state of Maryland today after calling just a handful of witnesses and choosing not to testify.

John Allen Muhammad, due to be tried in May for six sniper killings in Montgomery County, in 2002, is “psychotic, delusional and paranoid,” and is not competent to stand trial or represent himself, according to a motion filed before a US court.
