SPENDING on roads and housing will be slashed in Cork city next year after a €11 million cut in the city council’s annual budget.

THE head of Cork Chamber will call on the environment minister today to take radical steps to slash commercial rates.

CORK’S business community is not convinced that the four-year plan and the budget will be enough to secure the county’s future economic prospects.

GOVERNMENT policies are threatening businesses, Cork Chamber warned yesterday.
