Discount stores’ share of the French food retail market is fading, according to new Bord Bia research.

Supermarket giant Tesco bolstered its international portfolio with a deal to buy Poland’s Leader Price for £72m (€104.6m) today.

Tesco was today said to be lining up an €800m bid for nearly 300 supermarkets in Poland.
