A man who has notched up 41 bench warrants, all as a result of his alcohol consumption, wanted one last chance yesterday so he could spend St Patrick’s Day “on the loose”.

Victims of serious health service flaws are being blocked from receiving justice by a courts system that is prohibitively costly for most — and deliberately “intimidates” the few who do take cases. 

Separate cases against two young men at Tralee district court were struck out after the court was told both men, although aged only 24, were now dead.

A 26-year-old man is due to appear in court today charged with the deaths of a mother and daughter in Co Kerry last month.
