THE country’s only Irish-owned prepaid mobile network is to cease operations.

One of Ireland's newest mobile phone networks, Just Mobile, has announced it is closing down after less than 10 months in operation.

THE two faces of the Irish economy were in full show yesterday as plans to create as many as 491 new jobs over the coming years were overshadowed by 391 people being told they are now surplus to requirements.

A total of 190 new jobs have been announced today.
