Over €550,000 has been raised for two injured Irish jockeys both left paralysed after falls within weeks of each other.

The racing community and the wider public have donated 70 items for the special fundraising auction for JT McNamara and Jonjo Bright at today’s Limerick Charity Raceday in aid of the Jockeys Emergency Fund.

Point to point medical facilities have been identified as requiring immediate improvements according to Michael Hickey, Senior Steward, Irish National Hunt Steeplechase Committee.
