The sights, smells, and sounds of medieval Ireland will be recreated on the grounds of a north Cork castle this weekend as part of the second annual Buttevant Walled Towns Day.

A MEDIEVAL flashmob organised to highlight Cork’s origins as a town founded by Norwegian Vikings in 915AD was among the highlights of the city’s annual Heritage Day which took place on Saturday.
