A survey by the Irish Small & Medium Enterprises (Isme) has found that credit conditions for its members are deteriorating.

ISME has said that the new incoming Government must prioritise cost competitiveness after the latest inflation figures showed an annual rise of 1.7% to the end of January.

More than 440,000 people are signing on for benefits, it emerged today.
