An Post has said it is available for talks with the Irish Postal Workers Union over the dispute which has stalled the introduction of ‘euro starter kits’ designed to familiarise the public with the new currency.

The introduction of the euro has hit its first major hurdle as the majority of the country’s post offices are refusing to handle the new Euro Starter Pack, which has been introduced today.
