THE Fianna Fáil MEP Liam Aylward (Letters, September 7) tried to “set the record straight as to the exact role of the European Commission concerning the M3 motorway”.

THE second largest road development in Ireland at present is the construction of the 112-kilometre M3 motorway, which will bypass the towns of Dunshaughlin, Navan and Kells in Co Meath.
