NEARLY 70% of Irish software companies have annual revenues below €1 million and may have to merge or be bought out to survive, according to a new report.

Similarity Systems, the Dublin based data quality management software vendor, has announced it has secured an additional €2m in a round of financing led by AIB Equity. Other new investors in this round were Ion Equity and HotOrigin.

Software company, Cyantel has launched a new product, the Family Guardian which will allow parents track down the location of their children using sms or internet services services available on their mobile phones.
