THE GAA’s commitment to democracy has been called into question by a Longford club official whose motion on match bans was withdrawn from the clár at last weekend’s Annual Congress at the behest of president Christy Cooney.

THE club official responsible for the proposal to introduce match-specific bans at this weekend’s Congress believes there is nothing to gain by postponing the motion for a further 12 months.
