THE Spanish authorities are seeking the extradition of Dublinman Frederick ‘Freddy’ Thompson who they claim is a member of a international criminal gang involved in the trafficking of drugs and weapons.

Ian Bailey is before a sitting of the High Court to contest his extradition to France on foot of a warrant sought by French authorities investigating the West Cork murder of Sophie Toscan du Plantier.

Ian Bailey is expected to be brought before a sitting of the High Court in Dublin later today.

The Dutch are seeking the extradition of an Irish man wanted on charges attempting to traffic heroin and cannabis from The Netherlands to Ireland.
