It is understood that Kerry footballer Paul Galvin is to be handed an eight-week ban from the GAA's Competitions Control Committee (CCCC), following an incident during the Kingdom's Munster SFC semi-final replay victory over Cork at Pairc Ui Chaoimh.

The GAA's Competitions Control Committee have decided on a venue for the play-off for National Hurling League Division One status for 2008.
