An indebted Japanese bank for small businesses, the Incubator Bank of Japan, has filed for bankruptcy, the government financial watchdog announced today.

Tokyo: BNP Paribas, France’s biggest bank, has breached two securities rules, Japan’s Securities and Exchange Surveillance Commission said.

Japan’s government rebuked the Tokyo Stock Exchange and one of the country’s biggest brokerage firms today after a typing error caused Mizuho Securities to lose at least 27 billion yen (€190m) on a stock trade.
