I was delighted to read the letter by Dr Elizabeth Cullen, Irish Doctors’ Environmental Association in the Irish Medical News on January 27, 2014, outlining "The precautionary principle", with regard to the pylons.

With such widespread and continuous exposure of the population, even small risks to health from the proposed pylons may have a large impact on the population. Children are particularly vulnerable.
