Plans for a nine-storey office block in the heart of Cork City with the potential to deliver up to 2,000 jobs, have been dealt a fresh blow after the High Court granted a judicial review of planning permission for the development.

A rare and clear run through planning has been secured by Aldi for a new store at the ground floor of Ireland’s tallest building, the Elysian, right next door to Cork’s City Hall.

Nama has been asked to clarify its position on a planning objection lodged by one of its client firms against a €50m Cork City office block which has the potential to deliver 2,000 jobs.
