Investors sent shares higher on Wall Street today, amid relief that the US government is lowering the national terror alert level and heartened by reports that Iraq would destroy some missiles.

Iraq will announce later today that it will comply with a UN order to begin destroying its Al Samoud 2 missiles by the weekend, the Egyptian Middle East News Agency reported.
