Fianna Fáil TDs and senators from the western region have agreed to ask Enterprise Energy Ireland to re-apply for planning permission to build an onshore gas terminal in Co Mayo.

THE state will lose at least €200 million if the €1bn Corrib gas field project is abandoned following a controversial Bord Pleanála decision.

Enterprise Energy Ireland has postponed offshore pipe-laying for the Corrib gas project until the status of the proposed onshore terminal at Bellanaboy is confirmed.
