President Olusegun Obasanjo’s ruling party has expelled the Nigeria governor charged in Britain with money laundering.

The governor of an oil-rich state charged in Britain for laundering millions of dollars skipped bail and flew back to his home town, Nigeria’s anti-corruption body said today.

Nigerian President Olusegun Obasanjo has agreed to be investigated by the country’s anti-corruption watchdog after a political opponent accused him of graft, an allegation he denies, officials said.
