RTÉ has once again seen significant falls in year-on-year audience figures, with tens of thousands of listeners tuning out in comparison to 12 months ago.

Last year Pat Kenny left the sanctuary of RTÉ for the challenge of re-establishing himself in a daily slot and with less resources at Newstalk. The veteran broadcaster tells Jonathan deBurca Butler.
