Twenty-four people have been arrested in the Tallaght area of Dublin in a Garda crackdown on drug dealing.

Gardaí have seized almost €500,000 worth of cannabis herb after a major operation was put into action following suspicious activity by known criminals.

An alleged Irish drug trafficker has been arrested after two suitcases containing an estimated 55kg of cocaine were thrown from the eighth floor of a Spanish hotel.
