Construction products firm Kingspan has posted after tax profits of €29.2m for the firs six months of the year, up 37% from the €21.3m profits reported for the same period last year.

Housebuilder Kingspan have bought part of CRH Insulation Europe.

KINGSPAN has acquired the European insulation business of fellow Irish building materials giant, CRH, for approximately €120 million, in a deal the company is viewing as key to strengthening its foothold on the continent.

Kingspan has today announced that it has agreed to acquire 100% of the shares and assets of CRH Insulation Europe (CIE), subject to statutory approval.
