CRH is expected to make another large-scale acquisition some time next year as its cash generation improves and debt levels continue to decline.

Building materials giant CRH is expected to spend over €1bn this year on bolt-on acquisitions, with outlay in the first quarter alone already topping €600m.

Senan Murphy, currently chief operating officer at Bank of Ireland, has been named group finance director at building materials giant, CRH.

CRH has taken its committed spend for the current year to around €8bn on the back of another international mega-deal.
