CELEBRATING the workers’ rights activism of Cork-born firebrand, Mary Harris, The Spirit of Mother Jones Festival takes place in the Shandon area of Cork city from Jul 30-Aug 1.

MUNSTER’S rich tradition of folk music will be flourishing at a weekend festival at one of Cork’s public houses.

IT WILL be all about the voice this weekend as the long-established Cork Singers’ Club present a weekend of unaccompanied song and storytelling in the city this weekend, including a special tribute to recently-deceased Frank Harte.
