IT is all too easy to be critical of Clonmel Council’s decision to ask athletes from SARS-affected Hong Kong not to come to the town which is due to host them for the Special Olympics in June.

Athletes from countries hit by SARS have been asked to spend up to two weeks in quarantine before arriving in Ireland for the Special Olympics in Ireland, it emerged today.
