IRELAND has one of the worst track records in the western world for combating sex trafficking of children, an international survey has found.

CHILDREN’S charity Barnardos has expressed its “shock and dismay” at the revelation that 188 children, known to child protection services, had died over the past 10 years.

Groups working with the poor and disadvantaged have accused the Government of doing little to address child poverty in Ireland.
