Robinsons and Tango maker Britvic today said sales growth had accelerated despite continued pressure on its performance in pubs and bars.

Soft drinks company Britvic has said trading in the second quarter has been strong across Ireland and the UK.

BRITVIC said it is committed to the Irish market despite fears of jobs losses and pay cuts in the new year following a restructuring of their Irish operations.

REVENUES at the Irish operations of soft drinks manufacturer Britvic have fallen by 5.2% across its latest financial year and the company is to undertake a second restructuring of its business here in as many years.

Britvic's group revenue of £289.5m (€343.5m) in the quarter represents an increase of 16.2% on the prior year, it was announced today.
