The President of the High Court has welcomed a decision by the Medical Council to put in place a system to check the disciplinary records of doctors seeking to be allowed to work in Ireland.

A FRENCH cosmetic surgeon, who is suspended from practising in Ireland pending the outcome of a Medical Council ruling, was also censured by the French Health Ministry in 2006.

A PSYCHIATRIST who got work in hospitals in Tipperary and Kilkenny while suspended in Britain has been found guilty of professional misconduct here.
