Millions of households faced further pain today after British Gas owner Centrica signalled it may have to make another hike in energy prices.

British Gas today confirmed it is to sue the firm that designed its household billing IT system that it claims was behind a costly customer service debacle.

German firm Siemens has won a contract to provide 54 wind turbines for two new British offshore wind farms, the company said today.
