AT least 1,200 members of the ambulance service across the country will begin nationwide strike action on April 7.

AMBULANCE crews are to embark on strike action within the next month in protest at the Health Service Executive’s recruitment of private service providers.

MORE than 1,200 ambulance personnel are to be balloted for strike action within the next 10 days over the HSE’s decision to use private ambulance services.
