The Irish Aviation Authority (IAA) has said there will be no closures in Irish airspace as a plume of volcanic ash makes its way towards western Europe.

London's Volcanic Ash Advisory Centre (VAAC) has said that, while there is a risk that some ash cloud may reach parts of northern Europe in the next 24 hours, no flight disruption is expected in Irish airspace.
