Canadian mining firm Almonty Industries says it has no remaining interest in Co Meath-based company Ormonde Mining now that the latter has approval to proceed with its planned partial sale of its flagship asset.

Ormonde Mining has expressed doubt about fresh claims from potential suitor, Almonty Industries, that funds are in place to cover a possible takeover of the Irish firm.

Ormonde Mining, the Meath-based mineral exploration company, has rejected a $35m (€26m) takeover approach from Canada’s Almonty Industries.
