A man has died after he was hit by a lorry in Co Monaghan overnight.

The official report in to the death of Patrick Joseph Walsh in Monaghan Hospital has heavily criticised consultants there and at Our Lady of Lourdes and Cavan hospitals.

An independent report into the death of a 75-year-old man at Monaghan General Hospital last October is due to be published later today.
