Michael Cheika says he’s just getting started, as he prepares to set the Wallabies up for Rugby World Cup success in Japan in 2019.

Australia have blundered on the eve of Saturday’s World Cup final by accidentally revealing elements of their game-plan for dethroning New Zealand.

Australia boss Michael Cheika had few qualms branding his Wallabies the underdogs for Saturday’s World Cup final against defending champions New Zealand.

“They tore Ireland apart last week, we had to work hard to stop them scoring a try.”

“I haven’t seen the incident but I feel for them. It’s the World Cup, you have worked hard for it and when you get to possibly three finals to play, you miss out.“

Previous World Cups, in soccer and in rugby, have demonstrated the dangers of bigging up teams during the pool stages, but Michael Cheika and the Wallabies have certainly earned the praise.
