Mark Ellis, who sat out Cork’s Munster final win because of a groin injury, will be available for their All-Ireland SHC semi-final on Sunday week.

Injury had curtailed Ellis’s seasonal participation thus far in 2016.

There was further woe for Cork hurlers yesterday when it emerged Mark Ellis will miss the remainder of the Division 1A campaign after breaking his arm in Saturday’s defeat by Dublin.

Mark Ellis takes the field for Cork in tomorrow’s Munster SHC clash with Waterford as a representative of Millstreet, a long-standing Gaelic football stronghold in the Rebel County.
