The gift of a new kidney gave Patricia MacKenzie a fresh start eight years ago, and she has vowed to make the most of that chance every day, writes Margaret Jennings.   

From the moment she was born, Courtney Kealy had to have a kidney transplant. She was born with kidney dysplasia, a condition most affected babies do not survive.

It was an extra special moment for Síle Murphy and her family when they appeared together on RTÉ’s Late Late Show last night.
