James O’Donoghue is facing a second major shoulder operation that will rule him out of action for Kerry for up to six months.

Kerry will wait for an MRI scan later this week on James O’Donoghue’s injured shoulder before determining his chances of being back in action for the All-Ireland semi-final on August 23rd.

Eamonn Fitzmaurice was not able to provide a prognosis on James O’Donoghue’s shoulder injury following yesterday’s All-Ireland quarter-final.
