The Government have insisted that new laws to protect mortgage holders whose loans are taken over by vulture funds will be addressed when the Dáil returns.

The deal between the AIB, the Irish Mortgage Holders’ Association, and iCare Housing association is a welcome effort to tackle, in a substantial way, the crisis of mortgage arrears.
