A new political party, which plans to campaign for Ireland to leave the EU, will be launched next weekend.

Regarding the conference held last week (in which UKIP’s Nigel Farage was the keynote speaker), to promote ‘Irexit’ — an opportunity for Irish voters to give their opinion about whether Ireland should stay in the EU.

Anti-EU campaigner Nigel Farage says he will support any campaign which may emerge here to leave the EU, and accused Leo Varadkar of not working in Ireland’s interests.

With each day that passes the ramifications of Brexit become ever more entwined. Leaving aside the damage that is being done to the UK’s economic and political reputation, we now see the stirrings of debate on a putative Irexit — an Irish exit from the EU.
