Activists have welcomed the inclusion of care leavers and the Roma community in the government’s fourth plan to improve and monitor people’s equity of access to third-level education.

More than 14,000 higher education places will be made available with no fees or subsidised fees to help workers affected by Covid-19. Higher Education Minister Simon Harris announced 30 million euro of funding for part-time and post-graduate places.
