A 24-year-old man has been charged with the murder of David Byrne who was shot dead by gunmen during an attack at a boxing weigh-in at the Regency Hotel in Dublin on February 5.

A mother in her late 70s continues to mourn “her baby” who was shot dead on a lonely road near Ballydesmond six years ago.

WHILE six gangland killings in Cork remain unsolved, gardaí are continuing to pursue the perpetrators and, in one case have lodged a file with the DPP, are “consolidating” another, and hoping for a breakthrough in a third.
