Enda Kenny has told the Dáil that parts of reports on the shocking South East abuse case could be published, but that some parts might not be made public due to ongoing Garda inquiries.

A senior Minister has led the calls for resignations in the HSE of those who mishandled allegations of abuse of disabled children at a foster home in the South East.

The Cabinet will meet this morning to outline proposals for a Commission of Investigation into alleged sexual abuse at a foster home in the south-east.

Latest: According to a statement from the Government Press Office, Taoiseach Enda Kenny and Tánaiste Joan Burton have met to discuss the proposal from Ministers Varadkar and Lynch in the Department of Health.

The Public Accounts Committee is to forward allegations of abuse at a Waterford foster care home to gardaí and to the Minister for Health, Leo Varadkar, amid concern that health chiefs have taken no action.
