It was another memorable weekend for Irish women’s rugby as Anthony Eddy’s charges secured their place in the 2015/16 Women’s Sevens Series at the end of an eventful two-day Qualifier Tournament in UCD.

The Irish men’s and women’s Sevens sides will be hoping to keep their Olympic dreams alive this weekend, when both squads travel to Lisbon for the Rugby Europe Olympic Repechage tournament.

James Cronin and Stephen Archer will get their opportunity to show national coach Joe Schmidt that they can be relied upon for the World Cup after both Munster props were selected for the Emerging Ireland squad.
