An eight year old girl who suffered secondhand degree scald burns when a cup of hot chocolate tipped in to her lap on a Ryanair flight has settled her High Court action for €150,000.

British Airways and Qantas appealed today against an Australian court’s ruling that cleared the way for a landmark lawsuit by those who suffer from blood clots due to so-called “economy class syndrome.”
