JOHN FITZGERALD will go forward for ratification as the new Limerick U21 hurling manager at a board meeting tonight with former senior star Ollie Moran set to fill a role as a selector in his management team.

KILKENNY senior panellists Richie Doyle and Kieran Joyce have both been named in the starting 15 for the county’s intermediate team that do battle with Wexford in the Leinster IHC final in Nowlan Park tonight at 7.30pm.

LIMERICK senior hurler Seamus Hickey believes the issue of burnout amongst young players can be “a state of mind” and says proper communication lines between managers is the best way to ease those concerns.
