Irish Coast Guard volunteers are set to get the keys to a US city after marching in its St Patrick’s Day Parade this weekend.

Taoiseach Enda Kenny’s controversial St Patrick’s Day meeting with US president Donald Trump will take place during an expanded trade mission, writes political correspondent Fiachra Ó Cionnaith.

One man’s emphatic rejection of what he called the "ponce and wonce [sic]" of the St Patrick’s Day parade has gone viral since it was posted on March 16.

In preparation for Dublin’s 2016 centenary year St Patrick’s Day parade, a series of workshops took place with young people around Ireland to discuss their hopes for the future. The result is an explosion of colour and imagination as the theme, ‘Imagine if…’, celebrates our national vision for the next 100 years.
